The Kurnell Progress & Precinct Residents Associations is set to again host the ‘Festival of Kurnell’ for 2010 as well as incorporating the popular Kurnell Art Show. The event will run over two days and all activities will be conveniently located in Marton Park, Kurnell. The Festival of Kurnell recognises an important moment in Australia’s history celebrating the significance of Captain Cook.
The festival co-ordinator has prepared a thrilling program presenting the Sydney Ports/Leader Centre Stage with a unique mix of musical talent. The Sydney Water Community Stage will present amazing dancers from the Shire and St. George area dance groups. The brilliant line-up of acts will cater for all ages commencing at 10am each day and ending at 4pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. The Festival is an opportunity for the local community and businesses to take part and many will be showcasing their delights in the wide selection of food stalls and interesting craft displays and community stalls.
The Festival will be a family fun-filled weekend with plenty to see and do for everyone. Bring the kids along to the Holts Group Kids Area. Two massive areas where kids and adults can enjoy rides and entertainment throughout the weekend. They include the Animal Farm, Electronic Bull Ride, Jumping Castle, Pony and Camel Rides, plus much more.
It is sure to be an exciting weekend attracting the day-tripper visitor, tourist and resident alike.
