This
project has come about
through the youth of
Kurnell asking for a
safe place to exercise.
With this in mind our
Committee has then been
assisted by the
aboriginal people of
this area known as the
Dharawal Tribe to be
able to tell an
authentic story of the
white settling in
Australia and hopefully
one of reconciliation.
This
will give us all a
chance to see and taste
bush tucker and read the
story as we leisurely
walk the track and give
us an opportunity to
look at a unique wetland
that has survived
industry being its close
neighbour.
We
believe the educational
benefits of this track
will make it another of
the Kurnell Peninsulas
greatest tourist
attractions being free
for all to enjoy.
The
track has been designed
with Sutherland Shire
Councils architects so
that we can have a
fairly flat, wheelchair
friendly track with
interesting rest areas
where pictures and
murals can assist in the
telling of the story. |
